US retailers sued over cadmium in jewellery

 

In the U.S., Center for Environmental Health (CEH) warned Saks Fifth Avenue, Justice, Catherines, and Aeropostale that it will sue under Californian consumer law over “excessive” cadmium in jewellery. CEH claimed manufacturers got round the recent law banning lead in jewellery by substituting cadmium.
