Australian retailers criticised over tuna sourcing

In Australia, Greenpeace claimed the country‘s tuna brands are engaging in fishing practices which harm turtles and endanger sharks. It also accused most major brands of selling endangered yellowfin tuna, and failing to provide consumers with basic information about which tuna species are in its cans. It named Woolworths, Sole Mare, Paramount, Aldi, Sirena, IGA, Franklins, SPAR and Safcol.
