South Africa govt sued over mine water pollution

In South Africa, Environment and Conservation Association, supported by Federation for a Sustainable Environment, initiated legal action against the Water and Environmental Affairs Minister and also President Jacob Zuma for allegedly failing to take action against water pollution. They said no efforts have been made in over 60 years to resolve water pollution caused by mining activities which could seriously damage Johannesburg’s water supply and buildings.
